Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo

  • Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be personally greeted by our representative holding a "Valley of Kings Travel" sign.
  • Enjoy a smooth and comfortable transfer to your hotel in a modern, air-conditioned van adapted for wheelchair accessibility.

Day 2: Giza's Ancient Wonders & Cairo's Treasures

  • After breakfast, meet your personal guide and journey to the Giza Plateau.
  • Stand in awe before one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World: the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus.
  • Gaze upon the enigmatic Sphinx and explore the Valley Temple.
  • Transfer to the heart of Cairo to delve into history at the renowned Egyptian Museum, home to the golden treasures of the boy-king Tutankhamun.
  • (Optional) Extend your day with a visit to historic Coptic Cairo to see the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue, followed by a trip to Islamic Cairo to wander through the vibrant, bustling lanes of the Khan El Khalili bazaar.

Day 3: Flight to Luxor & Nile Cruise Embarkation

  • Transfer to Cairo Airport for your domestic flight to Luxor.
  • Upon arrival in Luxor, you will be met and transferred to your 5-star deluxe Nile cruise ship.
  • In the afternoon, journey to the East Bank to explore the colossal Karnak Temple complex and the majestic Luxor Temple.
  • Return to the ship for afternoon tea and dinner. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 4: Luxor's West Bank & Sailing to Edfu

  • Discover the legendary Valley of the Kings, the royal burial ground of pharaohs.
  • Visit the stunning terraced Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari.
  • Marvel at the imposing Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III.
  • Return to the ship for lunch and relax on deck as we sail towards Edfu via the Esna Lock.

Day 5: Temples of Horus & Sobek

  • After breakfast, visit the magnificently preserved Temple of Horus in Edfu.
  • Enjoy lunch on board as you sail to Kom Ombo.
  • In Kom Ombo, visit the unique dual temple dedicated to the crocodile-god Sobek and the falcon-god Haroeris.
  • Continue sailing south towards Aswan.

Day 6: Highlights of Aswan

  • Explore Aswan’s modern and ancient marvels, including:
    • The High Dam, an incredible feat of modern engineering.
    • The Unfinished Obelisk in its ancient stone quarry.
    • The beautiful and meticulously relocated Philae Temple on Agilkia Island.
  • Return to the cruise for lunch and enjoy a final evening in Aswan.

Day 7: Journey to Abu Simbel & Lake Nasser Cruise

  • An early 3:30 AM start with a prepared breakfast box for an unforgettable overland journey.
  • Travel by private, air-conditioned vehicle to Abu Simbel (approx. 3.5 hours).
  • Embark on your 5-star deluxe Lake Nasser cruise, the M/S Moevenpick Prince Abbas.
  • After lunch on board, visit the monumental twin temples of Abu Simbel, carved into the mountainside by Ramesses II.

Day 8: Sailing Lake Nasser & Kasr Ibrim

  • Enjoy a scenic morning sail across Lake Nasser to Kasr Ibrim.
  • View the ancient citadel from the ship's sun deck, as direct entry to the site is not permitted.
  • After lunch, sail to Amada to visit the Temples of Amada and Derr, as well as the tomb of Penout.

Day 9: Wadi El Seboua & Return to Aswan

  • This morning, tour the fascinating sites of Wadi El Seboua, including the temples of Dakka and Maharraqa.
  • Enjoy a final, peaceful day of sailing back towards Aswan, with lunch and dinner served on board.

Day 10: Nubian Monuments & Flight to Cairo

  • After breakfast, disembark from your Lake Nasser cruise in Aswan.
  • Explore more of the region's relocated Nubian treasures: the Kalabsha Temple, Beit El Wali, and the Kiosk of Kertassi.
  • Transfer to Aswan Airport for your flight back to Cairo for your overnight stay.

Day 11: A Day in Alexandria, the Pearl of the Mediterranean

  • Your guide will pick you up for a full-day tour to Alexandria. Your tour includes:
    • The Library of Alexandria (Bibliotheca Alexandrina): A stunning modern architectural marvel.
    • The Qaitbay Citadel: A 15th-century fortress built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria.
    • Montaza Palace Gardens: Explore the royal gardens of King Farouk.
    • Abu Al-Abbas Al-Mursi Mosque: The city's largest and most beautiful mosque.
    • Scenic Drive: A drive along the 30 km Corniche, passing the modern Stanley Bridge and the old harbor.
    • Old Downtown: A walk through the historic city center originally planned by Alexander the Great.
  • Lunch is included. At the end of the day, you will travel in comfort back to your hotel in Cairo.

Day 12: Final Departure

  • Enjoy a final breakfast in Cairo before being transferred to Cairo International Airport for your departure flight.
