Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Cairo

  • Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative holding a “Valley of Kings Travel” sign.
  • Enjoy a comfortable transfer in a private, air-conditioned (A/C) vehicle to your hotel.
  • Overnight: Cairo

Day 2: The Pyramids & Egyptian Museum

  • After breakfast, your journey into ancient history begins.
  • Egyptian Museum: Marvel at a rare collection spanning 5,000 years of art, highlighted by the priceless treasures, gold, and jewelry from the tomb of Tutankhamun.

Day 8: Alexandria, the Pearl of the Mediterranean

  • After breakfast, your guide will escort you on a full-day tour to Alexandria via a private A/C vehicle.
  • Library of Alexandria: Visit the modern incarnation of the ancient world's greatest library.
  • Qaitbay Citadel: Explore the 15th-century defensive fortress built on the site of the ancient Pharos Lighthouse.
  • Montaza Palace Gardens: Stroll through the royal gardens of King Farouk, viewing the former palaces of Haramlek and Salamlek.
  • See the city's most beautiful mosque, the Abbo Elabbas Mosque, and the statue of Alexander the Great.
  • Drive along the scenic Corniche and stop at the modern Stanley Bridge before exploring the old downtown.
  • Note: The Alexandria Library is closed on Fridays and public holidays. An extra ticket is required to enter the main reading area.

Day 9: Leisure or WWII History in Alexandria

  • Enjoy breakfast at your hotel followed by a free day to explore Alexandria at your own pace.
  • Optional Excursion: Take a full-day tour to El Alamein. Visit the War Museum to learn about the pivotal WWII battle and see the Commonwealth and German military cemeteries.

Day 10: Historic & Coptic Cairo

  • After breakfast, travel back to Cairo by A/C vehicle. Upon arrival, delve into the city's rich medieval and Christian history.
  • Citadel of Salah El Din: Visit this massive medieval Islamic fortress, offering panoramic views of the city.
  • Mosque of Mohamed Ali: Admire the beautiful Alabaster Mosque, a landmark of the Cairo skyline.
  • Old Cairo (Coptic Cairo): Explore the ancient heart of Cairo's Christian community, visiting the Hanging Church, the Church of St. Sergius (Abu Serga), and the Ben Ezra Synagogue.

Day 11: Leisure or the First Pyramids

  • Enjoy a full day at your leisure in Cairo.
  • Optional Excursion: Discover the origins of pyramid building. Visit the Step Pyramid of Djoser at Saqqara, the world's oldest major stone structure. Continue to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, to see the colossal statue of Ramses II. Finally, explore the Red Pyramid and Bent Pyramid at Dahshur.

Day 12: Final Departure
